Our Stance on Imagine Dance Foundation Imagine Dance Foundation is a foundation that strives to inspire and affect change in the local community. The foundation members have found that they have limited ability to enlighten those outside of their small community. The group members of “Imagine Tech” want to assist the Imagine Dance Foundation in reaching out to others. Our goal is to raise awareness and gather support for this foundation by incorporating new digital media and communication technologies. In our advanced technological world everything is highly competitive where genuine efforts and fundraising can easily be overlooked. Unfortunately, some forms of art and dance fit into this category. Most of the things that really entertain us are on TV where the excitement comes from seeing who will win and who will go home defeated. Also, the success of artists in many cases depends on the profit he or she is able to get in return. Art for art sake seems to have gotten lost in the digital scene. Imagine Dance Foundation has set up a way for people of all ages to come together to learn to express themselves through dance without the pressures of winning or losing anything. They support their community and other non-profits with the donations they receive. However, without any kind of online representation and networking they will surely continue to be overlooked by the same community they aspire to help. Artistic design and technological representation will draw the attention of the public to help support the foundation and the community at large. The first step in making an actual difference among this problem is to address it in an innovative approach. As we evaluate this problem and whom it would be helping, we are further able to find more appropriate applications for solution. Our team has decided on the following approaches: we will provide them with online tools (such as a website) for them to better their communication with not only their existing support base, but also with potential supporters and interested organizations. With these modern technological tools, they will be more able to update the status of their group, have direct information readily accessible (so supporters will not find it difficult to help), as well as keep better contact and organization with supporters and each other. The online tools will also be represented by attractive visuals, graphics and other visually welcoming assets in order to promote the groups’ warmth and creativity, as well as its professionalism and dedication. It is in these ways that we may also achieve our team’s mission to develop Imagine Dance Foundation’s place within the social change of our community. Our team’s mission is to expand the reach of the Imagine Dance Foundation, through social media engagement, and a new artistic representation. We are fully behind the foundations goal to provide personal expression through dance to all types of people, and change the community while doing so. We believe that individual expression is a necessity to a happy, fulfilling life. Not everyone has the means to participate in extracurricular activities, and our group believes in Imagine Dance Foundation’s mission to extend this opportunity to everyone in our area. Our group firmly believes that promoting access to dance will enrich the lives of many and make our community a better place in the process. By revitalizing their Facebook page, creating a new logo, and increasing accessibility to their cause, our team hopes to propel their vision and make their foundation widely known by our community.
